A Prayer For Our Fallen Brothers
By John A. Martin
"Lord God, we, the men of A/1/501, stand humbly before You and these valiant men, whose names we have listed here. While we have spoken to You about them individually, it is our deep and sacred honor to welcome them home once again as a part of their unit, Alpha Company/1/501. . . Bless these troopers, our brothers, who served and paid the ultimate price for that service. We ask that You protect and guard them. Although they were not able to return to their families and loved ones, the courage and service of these men has strengthened our lives. We ask Your blessing on their families and their loved ones who suffered that terrible loss those many years ago and have lived with it over the intervening years. We also ask Your blessing on the Alpha Company men who have fallen since their return home, and those who are continuing to suffer illness from their service. We ask these blessings in your name...AMEN
