Well, well, well...first let me start by saying thank you to Harry for seconding the motion for me to be Company Sweetheart. I beleive that since Danny nominated me and Harry second it then it goes to a vote. I need you ALL to vote yeah or ney on my new position please! Lil Cowboy is a big, fat liar. I said NO SUCH THING to his wife about already being CS. I do not even think it came up in conversation. I know for SURE that I did not say anything about demoting anyone. You can always tell when Lil Cowboy is lying....his lips are moving.

Here is a little story about Lil Cowboy. The man is not all that bright. He and my dad went to Sonic to get a drink. Lil Cowboy grabs his cup made out of styrofoam and he shoves his thumb right threw it. Now there is a hole in his cup and liquid is spilling every where. Now most of us would have pulled over and thrown away the cup. Does Lil Cowboy do that? Hell no! He DRIVES around with his thumb still in the cup to keep it from leaking too bad until theyget to their final destination and then throws it away. We are talking serious issues here fellas.

Now, my dad is starting to lose it as well. Dad dropped his phone in the Kroger parking lot. He does not realize this until he has left and is going to call Lil Cowboy about meeting up for breakfast. He reaches for his phone and it is gone! He goes back to a few places he had already been and there was no phone. He heads back to Kroger and there is Lil Cowboy holding his phone. I tell you, put the two of these guys together and you might have a whole brain.

I look forward to the vote and the outcome of the vote. Could we please have a decision by Monday? My father will not have any more voting privledges than anyone else. This makes it a fair vote. You all have a great night and talk to you all real soon.

SWWOW and the new CS??

What kind of rag-tag outfit is the Rat running here? No generals?? Maybe that drunk guy at the roadside park in Killeen who told the Rat he was the great-great-great grandosn of one of the founding members of the Daughters of the Texas Revolution would serve as our CG. SOMEBODY has got to be able to tell the Rat what to do. On second thought, maybe it WOULD be a good thing for SWWOW to be Company Sweetheart. He snaps to parade rest every time she walks by. We would still need to give her some lessons on proper general officer ettiquite. I've witnessed enough of the Rat's eating and farting habits to know HE can't teach her. I do know one thing. Harry can call out the Louisiana NG(No Go's), but if it comes down to a confrontation between the Texas Redneck Army and them swamp rabbits they call Louisianaians it will be no contest. They even fought to save New Orleans one time. Who the hell would do that??

To all attendees of reunion 09. I need pictures badly. I need pictures of Friday night, all day Saturday and especially of the following.
1. Me being questioned on the throne.
2. Keith receiving his horse and hat
3. Keith receiving his plaque.
4. Pictures of the raffle items.

I need them to be emailed to me or sent to Keith in the form of a CD-Rom. Some people told me they would email me some stuff , but have failed to do so. I won't mention any names Cowboy.

Sir, I am in total agreement with your decision to designate SWWOW as "Company Sweetheart". You know I will support you in anyway possible. Just ask and I will send in my reinforcements. I've been a little suspicious of those "Rednecks" who live west of the Sabine River. Let me know if you need my troops to restore order. Standing by, Sir.

You know, the Lil Cowboy has an imagination as big as the state he lives in. In addition, he needs to learn that you do not eat Eyetallion pot roast with a spoon, an, an ice tea spoon at that.
As to what rank is authorized to demote members of the TRA, as Commander I have that authority. Incase Lil Cowboy does not understand military chain of command, there is no one of higher rank in this organization. I am calling on my 1sg, Tex Dilday to strighten out this attempted breech of protocol. I was duely elected as the Commander of the TRA and I do not believe our members will put up with these actions.
Tex knows I would never bust him down. He has made such strides. When it comes to Harry, how could I (1) Bust some one down who holds no rank in the TRA, YET! (2) How could I do something like that to my mentor, the person who is probably the one perso responsible for my acceptance as a gosh darn "Red Neck". (3) He out ranks me in the "Red Neck" organization and I respect that, as Lil Cowboy should respect mine.
Lil Cowboy's problem with SWWOW/Company Sweetheart is personal in nature and should not in any way interfer with the lawful and proper conduct of the TRA. Did I teach her well, you better believe it. I think all of you should let him know that his conduct ie unacceptable. With out respect for authority and the rule of law, there is only anarchy.

We had a great dinner with the Rat, his boss Lynn, and SWWOW. I didn't know that Eyetallion food could taste so good! Been awhile since I've had anything other than Texican food like chicken fried steak, ribs, brisket, or hamburgers. We do have a problem though. As I ate that fancy stuff I overheard SWWOW tell my wife that she is ALREADY the Company Sweetheart. And that her Daddy gave her that exalted position because he is now the Commander of the TRA and he could do any promoting he wanted to do. She also let on that he might bust Harry and Tex a rank or two. She said he has busted em before so why not do it again? We may have to come up with written field regulation manuals for all of this. I guess the first one would have to be TRAR-000001 (Texas Republican Army Regulation-000001) No less than a General Officer may promote or demote personel to any pay grade and/or position based on anything other than that said personel first being required to sit before and pass/fail with more/less "goes" than "no-goes" all questions asked by the sitting promotion/demotion board made of personel being Non Commissioned Officers, or former Non Commissioned Officers (who may have unduely lost their rank because of matters beyond their control such as screwing around down at the booby bars when they are suppose to be manning the 60 on the ambush 5 klicks away).

As the Commander of the TRA, I must always tell the truth. Yes I did lose my phone,(I did not get lost in my own town of 662). Yes Lil Cowboy got the phone, however I did not ask him where he got one like mime, I asked him where it got it . If I were the Cowboy, I would be kinder to the Commander. Some one ask him about getting the grill on his truck. He would still be trying if it were not for me. I love him like a Brother any way, although it be difficult sometimes. It is also very lonley working with him, ask his brother.
I am working on the reunion narrative where we will be discussing the Lil Cowboy in more detail. Keep the faith A Company, the info and pictures are coming.

Tommy Higdon obtained a "Nickname" at the reunion, he is now known as "BOOTS". If you did not come to Vegas or attend this year, you will not understand the mdeaning behind the name. As "Boots" has made a commitment to attend future reunions,, you will have to attend to a reunion to understand the meaning behind the name.

I saw Phil "Lobo" DuBois get excieted this last weekend, I was standing next to him and he said "Wow".
I thought Neal Tillman was my friend, however, the word on the street ie he is the one who plotted against me and talked everyone into the collective bid on my mustache. I could be wrong, but I have it on good authority, right Lobo?

I say there ain't but ONE way that SWWOW gets the title as "Company Sweetheart". She must be put to the test. I will bring the "throne" to the next reunion too. We must come up with a few pertinent questions for her. There ain't no free lunch lady!

The status of our fearless leader as Commander of the TRA has not changed his "getting lost" habits. Here is what happened today: I'm driving into Sherman to meet the Rat at the IHOP. He wants to eat then go load up some stuff. He calls me just about the time I get there and says he is going to Kroger first and he will meet me at IHOP in a few minutes. So I go to IHOP and wait on him. And I wait...and I wait... Then I figure he is lost again even though the Kroger is only two blocks away. So I call his cell. A lady answers the call and I can tell right away she ain't Lynn or SWWOW. I ask who this is. She asks who I was. This is where it gets good. (And by the way, this is ALL true) I said I'm calling a friend of mine. She says this friend of yours must be the one who lost his cell phone out here in front of our store. I say you must be at Krogers. She says yes and one of their customers brought the phone in. She then tells me the customer saw the Rat drop the phone. The customer had told the kroger lady she tried to stop the Rat by yelling at him as he got in his truck, but he drove off without even acting like he heard anything. The customer tells the Kroger lady, " He looked like a real old guy so I guess he was deaf." (This is nothing but the truth so help me God)
So I tell the Kroger lady I'm on my way over there because the old deaf guy will get lost trying to find his phone. I get there and go in. The Kroger lady hands me the phone and says to me, "I hope you find that old feller." I go out in the parking lot and wait...and wait...and after several minutes the Rat drives up. He sees me when he gets out of his truck and asks me what the hell am I doing there. I said I just thought I'd meet him here at the Krogers in case he needed my help. Then I show him the phone and tell him I found it in the parking lot. He looks at it and says, "I'll be damned. It looks just like the one I lost here about an hour ago. I'm going in here to see if someone turned mine in."
This is exactly the way it happened. I do not know why I didn't play it out longer instead of telling him it really was HIS phone. I guess I'm just too good of a guy.
And Harry, I can PROMISE you that if this had happened a few days sooner I'd have texted you with his phone and "as a new tried and true Texan I'd bet you $200 per game that the Longhorns would beat LSU!

I figured out and boy did I feel stupid when dad told me how to read the blogs. They are right there on the front page! I was thinking it was like the old blog and you had to go to a certain location. Ok, the blondeness in me is coming out.
I have to say that the reunion was AWESOME! I hope all those that could not attend this year are able to make it next year. You all will have a blast and it is good to see all the expressions on the faces of those who attend. It is a real pleeasure and honor to be a part of this great thing that is becoming a tradition.

Good Afternoon Alpha Company:

For those of you who could not attend this years reunion in Texas, I believe you missed a good one. I am not going to go into the details of the weekend now, it will appear in the Reunions section ASAP.

We did however vote on a few items, Dues, Amount of dues, next years location and frequency of reunions.

1. Location of next years reunion: Gatlinburg, TN. was brought up as a possible location and Danny Briggs would be in charge if we go there. All other items relating to this reunion are subject to discusion, (ok ladies.

2. Dues: The company members present voted to have voluntary dues on a yearly basis. Dues are due on the first day of each calander year. Next dues are due on 1/1/2010. I will inform all of you as to address later. (need to find a place to live)

3. Amount of dues: It was deceided and voted on that the minimum dues would be $25.00 and the maxium would be $100.00. Again, ALL dues are voluntary. The only person who will know how much any one sends is me.

4. Frequency of Reunions: It was deceided and voted on to hold a reunion each year. We are all getting older and will start departing the A.O. in a relatively short time.

I will be posting a financial statement as soon as I get to Jamacia.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Keith Kirkland for all his support and financial aid. Without him, we would not have had a reunion. He has become a good friend to me and I am proud to call him "My Brother".

I will post the reunion page with out the pictures ASAP and the pictures later. I am shooting for day after tomorrow on the written word.

I have not figured out, or should I say, my father has not showed me how to read any new blogs yet, only how to create one. I am sure I am missing lots og good bantering bewtween the mees of ya'll. I will get the old man to show me here really soon.
I have a question for ya'll. I have no plans to give up the title of SWWOW. I LOVE that name. BUT....Danny Briggs brought up a new title for me, that I would take with honor and live up to both. He thinks I could be "Company Sweetheart." Is that something ya'll would be ok with? If so, what exactly does that job require me to do? I am good at flirting, so if you all want to be flirted with I am the one for the job! LOL Let me know what you all think.
I will read the new blogs as soon as the old man shows me how!

I know some of you probably haven't recovered from Texas yet, but I understand that Gatlinburg is the next stopping point. Were there any suggested dates for getting together? Summer or Fall?

I would like to welcome you to our new web Site. A couple of computer wizes got here before I did. No matter, It is what it is. I hope all of you like the art work. I was just a supplier of logos, Dan Wahlbrink a really nice young man I played raquete ball with in Arizona did all the hard work. In any case, it should be a more enjoyable experience. Jon Quick, if your reading this, thank you for the kind words.

It's with great pride that I served with Alpha back in 67-68, and now to watch your group explode upon the scene is very heart warming. Val is one hell of a guy and I know he is proud of each and every one of you.

To gather at these reunions and fill in the blanks of our lives is somewhat of a soul mending experience and I hope you all can appreciate those feelings. You have served with honor in a very difficult war and quite often faced the unappreciative public upon your return, which only makes our bond that much stronger. Find peace in that, and thank you for your service.
